Resume of a Passionate Librarian

What I do

My professional life’s work is to figure out what library staff need and get it to them. I adapt to those changes by cultivating flexibility and enthusiasm within myself. As a 16-year consultant in Statewide Library Development, I have a wide-ranging knowledge base.

By leading web teams and training over 300 library staff on web site management, I figured out what works when teaching accessibility. Now, I deliver those skills through engaging online learning. From the data gathered after hundreds of library staff participated in those online experiences, came a read on the national temperature on accessibility. Now, I use that data to show directors how to implement eAccessibility that meets legal requirements and how to scale training to dovetail with the motivators of front line staff and the motivators of site administrators.

In the summer of 2020, I took a second job as Project Coordinator for a Statewide Staff Training Grant in California. Our state’s continuing education coordinator had been reassigned and we needed that expertise on staff. I went and got it.

I deliver by doubling down on awesome in the profession. What’s next?
